Deviation Actions
Heyo everyone,
As you may have noticed, I decided to make some changes to my dA homepage. Pirate Graffiti is no longer prominently featured: instead I opted for a nice photo of Paris. With the Llama kiriban out of the way, I moved the Journal widget down again.
In personal life I'm drawing again, thank heavens. Juggling is getting a bit harder with the current windy weather, but I've mastered the clubs and am doing well in the overhead.
Red Het Spookslot
First Crop Harvested
Well dear followers, I've started with the great cropping. I brought down the amount of deviations in my gallery from 520 to 448, and deleted some of my journals. I began by removing fivies that didn't get any likes (fivies are my 5*5cm drawings of letters) - unfortunately due to the size and the medium they were typically not looking nearly as decent as they did on paper. Exception is of course this one: which is my avatar. https://www.deviantart.com/bonnzai/art/AV-Celtic-Knot-275589289 Also out the window is anything that is political since politics has gotten so agressive over the past five years, from either side - to the point I feel disconnected from what used to be my political spiritual home. So I'll remove any type of opinion blabbing. Except for the two journals I wrote on the "Participatiewet" due to me not having a backup for it. I will eventually move these to my website now that DeviantArt cannot be used as a picture host anymore. Also the Dragon A Day pictures - they
Eclipse and the ominous signs of darkness
Eclipses are wonderful spectacles of nature. As one celestial body blocks the view of another, it's easy to realize how insignificant life on earth is. During the great solar eclipse of 1999 I was in London, at the London Bridge facing Tower Bridge, watching people leave their offices to see the sun disappear bit by bit, seeing the bright blue beams of the Tower Bridge fade to grey, hearing the funny guys around me say: "Oh no! Clouds! {blow}" DeviantArt Eclipse is another matter. While nowhere near as temporary in nature as an actual eclipse, the effects are equally darkening and deep-rooting, but unfortunately not as reversible. *One effect I've noticed is that Deviant Folders have disappeared. You may remember those - for mixed media artists (as in, people like me who never make up their mind about what they want to do), it was a bit of a nightmare browsing through all of the different categories trying to find what matched the art you were trying to upload. On the bright side
Show Your Heart - Kapt Kirk
This is FlysAlGreenNBuzzin' by KaptKirk, known in daily life as Kirk Lewis. Kirk was one of the most wonderful people I've had the pleasure befriending online. Sadly Kirk passed away on October 8th 2015, sorely missed by all who knew him.
