Welcome to a brand new section of Ixupi Comics!
Well, brand new... Ixupi are the monsters that haunt the museum in the 1995 Sierra game Shivers. Shivers is known for its terrific music and backgrounds, but corners were cut on the Ixupi. In game, you can barely see them, they zip by so fast! These were done by request for a fellow Shivers fan: in total there will be (crunches numbers) 24 of these Capture Comics. This is what the Ixupi look like when they're captured. There will be precisely one other comic: a Wrong Pot one.
Shivers cut animation corners in the following way: for every Ixupi occurrence (26 in total) they animated a creature emerging from the material, then they made animations for each of the 10 different Ixupi either attacking, or getting captured. I was also requested to make comics of what happens when you click the wrong pot/talisman combo on one of the monsters. There was not much difference between the ixupi attacking and the ixupi attacking when you approach them with the wrong item; but as it turned out, one had an extra image that looked so cool, I just made one of him.
So, to be expected soon on this page: 24 Captures, 1 Pot Mismatch comic, and when I get to it, a heart attack inducing Youtube film that shows all of the attacks. Rawr!
